We received: INVITATION TO EUROPEAN MEDITERRANEAN In the framework of regular European environments, the Center Europe Center, the Information Center of the Delegation of the European Commission in Slovenia, invites you to the presentation on 4 February 2004 at 4 pm: “Single EU Pet Passport” One of the four fundamental freedoms of the European Union, the free movement of persons, allows EU citizens to travel from one country to another without any restrictions. As for them, they do not apply to their pets at the moment.

EU border crossing countries require different documents confirming that animals meet all veterinary requirements for travel. The European Commission has therefore decided to introduce a single passport for pet animals (dogs, cats and ferrets), which will significantly facilitate their travel to EU countries. A blue passport with twelve yellow stars will also need pets from July 2004.

Why passport is being introduced, what information will be contained and where and when it can be obtained will be presented by AleŇ° Brecelj from the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. The presentation will take place at the Center Europe at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana. Kindly invited. Participation at the event is free, but please confirm your presence at the lecture at
